Editorial policy

Updated 1 October 2026. Ijanos publishes independent information about performance and functional training. Our work is guided by accuracy, clarity, proportionality and respect for readers. We do not use sales language or guarantee outcomes.

1. Mission

We help readers ask better questions about training, physiology and recovery. Content is written for men 35+ while remaining useful to a broad audience. We avoid fear and shame. Every page should leave the reader with context.

2. Commissioning

Topics are selected for reader relevance, evidence availability and safety. Contributors receive a clear brief and must disclose relevant conflicts. The desk may decline a topic that requires individual clinical assessment. Dates identify the publication context.

3. Evidence

We prefer primary research, professional guidance and transparent reviews. Sources are considered for population, duration, methods and practical relevance. Uncertainty is described rather than hidden. Emerging findings are labelled as such.

4. Review

Editors check claims, links, wording and boundaries before publication. A safety review is applied to exercise and nutrition material. Readers can report errors. Corrections are dated and made without disguising the original issue.

5. Independence

Commercial relationships must not dictate editorial conclusions. Advertising is separated from articles. A sponsor cannot remove a correction or require a medical promise. Conflicts are disclosed where they could affect interpretation.

6. Images

Images are selected to represent realistic, respectful activity. They should not imply a guaranteed transformation or misrepresent a study. Alternative text describes the visible scene. Readers can report misleading imagery.

7. Personal stories

Stories are used with permission and with unnecessary identifying detail removed. A single experience is not presented as proof. We avoid publishing private medical records. Participants may ask questions about use.

8. Corrections

Material errors are assessed promptly and corrected with a note when useful. Minor language edits may not receive a public note. The desk keeps an internal record of substantial changes. The current page remains the controlling version.

9. Complaints

Send the page, passage, concern and supporting source to Ijanos at the listed Jakarta address or phone. We acknowledge a complaint within 30 days where possible. Complaints are reviewed by an editor not responsible for the initial wording when practical. We explain the outcome.

10. Review date

This policy was reviewed on 1 October 2026. It will be reconsidered after a material change in publishing, advertising or applicable law. Readers may request clarification without joining a mailing list. Transparency is part of the standard.

Working detail

Editorial decisions are documented in proportion to the subject. A short glossary explanation may need a source check and plain-language edit, while an exercise feature may also need a boundary review for safety, audience and context. The desk avoids presenting a single anecdote as evidence for a broad conclusion.

Contributors are expected to identify affiliations, paid relationships, studies they authored and other circumstances that could reasonably affect interpretation. Disclosure does not automatically disqualify a contribution; it allows editors and readers to understand the context. Undisclosed conflicts may lead to correction, annotation or removal.

Corrections preserve trust by stating what changed and when. Minor spelling or formatting edits may be made without a public note, while a factual, source or safety change receives a dated correction entry where practical. Readers can send the page address and proposed correction to the contact desk, and the desk aims to acknowledge it within seven days.

Images and links are reviewed for context, licence or permission status where applicable, privacy and accuracy. A stock photograph is illustrative and should not be read as proof that the pictured person achieved an editorial outcome. We avoid captions that imply a result not supported by the surrounding material.

Ijanos does not accept payment in exchange for a favourable conclusion or hidden placement. Advertising and partnerships are handled separately from commissioning, and material commercial influence is disclosed when relevant. This policy was reviewed on 1 October 2026; future material changes will carry a new date and an explanation of the affected practice.

Editorial decisions are proportionate to the subject and the likely consequence of misunderstanding. A glossary entry may need a source and language check, while an exercise feature also receives a boundary and safety review. A personal anecdote is not presented as evidence for a general conclusion. Dates and revision notes help readers understand the context in which material was prepared.

Contributors should disclose affiliations, paid relationships, authored studies and circumstances that could reasonably affect interpretation. A disclosure does not automatically prevent publication, but it may change commissioning, wording or review. Undisclosed conflicts can lead to annotation, correction or removal. Advertising and partnerships are handled separately from independent conclusions.

Corrections preserve the history of a factual change without disguising the original issue. Minor formatting changes may not require a note, while a material source, safety or accuracy change receives a dated explanation where practical. Readers can report a concern with the page address and relevant passage. The desk aims to acknowledge reports within seven days and review ordinary corrections within 30 days.

Images and links are checked for context, permission or licence status where applicable, privacy and accuracy. An illustrative photograph does not prove an editorial outcome or represent every reader. This policy was reviewed on 1 October 2026 and future material revisions will carry a new date and describe the affected practice.
